This Act may be cited as the “Stop Harassing Owners of Rifles Today Act” or as the “SHORT Act”

When it comes to contentious issues i often find myself embroiled in them. One of these issues is the “big beautiful bill” and the contents of it. There are few things more sacred to this country than the constitution and the bible (the ark of the covenant… cough cough). Gun owners have been fighting long and hard to make any headroom in restoring the fundamental right clearly outlined in the 2nd amendment for a long time. These two grievances from the gun community aren’t lacking merit, and they will not be satiated with a cheaper tax. These are fundamental issues that have constitutional protection. I reside in a state that just passed the most insane gun ban in American History under the tutelage of Jared Polis. Rights are unalienable, that means very simply they cannot be taken by man, because we do not believe they were granted by man. The hearing protection act is actually common sense and Europe and Canada both require suppressors for hunting. The land of the brave and free? You need federal approval. The S.H.O.R.T act while tactfully named is actually meant to help stop the weaponization of Government, specifically the ATF which constantly ignores its own rules and guidelines to accomplish its political motives.
