Celebrate like a German! Get down to 20th and Larimer for the last weekend of the Denver Oktoberfest! One of the worlds oldest Volksfest. Admission is free, if nothing else the lederhosen is a sight to see! Enjoy some libations in the good Denver weather outside this weekend before winter comes.

This final weekend will wrap up the 56th year of this two weekend celebration that harkens back to old harvest celebrations of the Germanic people. There are plenty of events to keep you entertained while you enjoy the German food and drink available. Learn how to throw an axe before catching the Brat eating contest. Comedy fans will have something to enjoy with both a traditional comedy set as well as an improv show to engage in. Enjoy the live music available or go ahead and join in some keg bowling and knock over some beer kegs with another beer keg, in the German spirit of drinking! I think. There will also be dancing. Ladies, don’t forget to bring your boots. Two whole hours scheduled to line dance your heart out. The show will close with a silent disco, which is a unique experience in itself. If the music, beer, and variety of entertainment wasn’t enough to get some men in the door, there will be a qualifying beer stein hoisting event going on. Test your strength and balance by attempting to qualify. If you stick around the Championship will be at 9:15 pm, so pace your drinking (unless your German) if you intend to win! Get out and enjoy this German heritage event, it only comes around once a year. Don’t be a domestic terrorist antifa and hate on good German food and beer served in a jovial setting, instead join the Volk celebrating harvest season and the end of summer.
