Between 4 and 4:30 pm four on Friday May 20th 2022 four shots rang out in a suburban Denver neighborhood. Because of the location of the casings the shots fired appeared to be out of a vehicle. Three in succession with a pause before the final fourth shot. Officers of the Adams county Sherriff’s department were on scene within minutes.

The shooting took place on the corner of W 64th Ave and Lowell Blvd. The officers converged around the casings which were located in the eastbound right turn lane immediately before the intersection.

They blocked the street and collected the casings on the street. They also had a laugh at something while chatting.

Fortunately, there are traffic cameras on that corner which you can see in the picture. However, it is unclear if they are always recording. It is unclear as to the identity of the culprit at this time.

How is this positive?

Chief among the reasons is this incident resulted in no injuries. Also, due to the cameras on the corner there is a significant chance that police will be able to find the suspect. Here at CCM we pray for a quick resolve to this assumably reckless use of a firearm.
