Putin goes to China, Polis type Purchase of KY, NextEra Energy

During his visit to China in 2000, the President of Russia took a photo with young Peng Pai, a citizen of China, while taking a walk in a park. Peng Pai later took an interest in the Russian culture and science and eventually received an education in the country, graduating from Moscow Automobile and Road Construction State Technical University. The Energy Putin Exudes is quite charming.

Vladimir Putin and Peng Pai, 2000

While in China Putin signed and furthered bilateral agreements between Russia and China. One of the primary partnerships between the two countries is Energy related. During the talks Putin said “The driving force behind economic cooperation is Russian-Chinese collaboration in the energy sector. Amid the crisis in the Middle East, Russia continues to maintain its role as a reliable supplier of resources, while China remains a responsible consumer of these resources.”

Polis Purchase

Many people have heard of Rocky Mountain Heist and how Governor Polis bought into the office. Fewer recognize it happening in real time in another state. Kentucky had a fighter, an unmatched thoroughbred who fought tooth and nail for his constituency. More money was spent to unseat Thomas Massie than has ever been spent on a congressional primary. Was it the Epstein files? Was it the not spending on war? Some allege Thomas Massie is the reason we haven’t accomplished “Trumps” agenda. Was he really though? Or did you not like that he didn’t play nice. Not that it matters to me at the end of the day, he’s not in my state, but it is unfortunate to watch money buy a seat out from the youth who supported him to install a puppet that nobody cares about. That’s the truth. Everyone Knows Massie doesn’t like AIPAC. Wonder who had a vested interest in removing him.

NextEra Energy

NextEra Energy announced plans to acquire Dominion Energy in a roughly $67 billion deal. This would create one of the largest electricity producers in the United States. Obviously, that raises questions on your power bill’s future. The merger comes at a time when energy demand is surging due to the AI boom, with heightened worries about rising electricity prices. Overall, residential electricity rates have risen 7.4% compared to a year earlier, and in some states the spikes are far worse. Virginia saw rates climb 12.2%. Economists note the deal is less about everyday power customers and more about fueling the growth of AI data centers, particularly in Virginia, where Dominion helps power hundreds of facilities. “Regardless of the merger, prices of electricity are going to continue to rise, because we’ve seen rising demand from industrial customers, largely data centers,” said Bob McNab, an economics professor at Old Dominion University. To soften the blow, the companies pledged $2.25 billion in bill credits for Dominion customers in Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina over two years following the deal’s close though the merger still requires federal and state regulatory approval before it can move forward.
